Breathtaking Flower Portraits by Art Lionse

Today we are happy to introduce you to a very talented photographer, Art Lionse.

AL lives in the south of France where the warm light has inspired many famous impressionist and fauvist painters. He is a researcher spending his spare time chasing light with his camera.

AL likes to explore the nature surrounding him where many surprises await the curious walker. He focuses on portraying ordinary plants and flowers which make great models with various shapes, patterns and colors. He tries capturing these models with a fresh eye, as illustrated by his dandelion series. He also likes to make metaphoric pictures. For his macro work, whether outdoors or in a studio, he uses natural light to make the pictures look more genuine.

AL started digital photography only recently. For him, photography is a pleasure and a creative expedition.  AL’s work has been published several times in Digital Photo Magazine UK.
