Egypt protests through photos

Along with producing amazing photography, the camera has a role in documenting a nation’s struggle for freedom and a better future. Photos taken during strikes and protests can tell a million stories about how people feel and how they try to change their future with their own hands.

Currently, Egypt is facing hard times trying to change a 30 years old regime to guarantee a better future for its children. Many people tried to record these moments and to document the people’s strive to put an end to this rotten regime. It does not matter if the photos are taken by a professional photojournalist or an amateur; the important point is how the shots can deliver a lot of meaning that no words can express.

The below collection shows the struggle of the Egyptian people against the regime, during the Friday of Anger and the week after it.

All photos are linked and lead to the sources from which they were taken.
